"Natalia Berezina builds balanced pictorial wholes in which she likes to implement a central compositional design. The wholes are uniform, and each molecule of the pictorial organism is devoted to them. Namely, it realizes a special feeling for the craftsmanship of noble details. In terms of content, these are more deeply meaningful or merely decorative. Two approaches to artistic visualization are noticeable in the painting opus; one is characterized by extraordinary creative perfectionism, the other is also a perfect presentation of the motive material, but especially the backgrounds are like an artistically interesting game of layering and presenting noble structures. The author creates them with multiple layers, with pasty broad strokes, as well as with the use of gold leaves. She likes to include the latter very much in the pictorial tissue, but with a sharpened feel, in the right measure and in the right place. The shine of the gold is obscured by overlays, so its use is special and discreet. With golden values, it highlights the elements of storytelling, achieves compositional harmony and textural specificity. The painterly texture has always been the focus of Natalia Berezina's interest, as evidenced by the many small, segmented applications that are disciplined and thoughtfully positioned and are the result of long-term work in the field of painting".
